05 Jan 2025 Wrapped: Levy Edition
2025 was a year of accomplishments and impact for Levy. So instead of a traditional year-in-review, we’re “unwrapping” the moments that defined our year, stayed on repeat in our minds and reminded us why our work matters.
Top Genre: Recycling
To kick off the year, we announced a record-breaking milestone – 8 million tons of materials recycled in 2024, the equivalent to the weight of nearly 800 Eiffel Towers. Levy continued to lead the way in creating solutions that protect our environment and support stronger, cleaner communities.
Breakout Single: Construction & Demolition Recycling Magazine Cover
Levy landed on the cover of Construction & Demolition Recycling Magazine! Seeing our teams recognized nationally was a proud moment. This spotlight gave the industry a closer look at the ingenuity and dedication we see every single day from our team members.
Fan Favorite: Earth Day on Fox 2 Detroit
Earth Day brought more excitement when Fox 2 Detroit invited us to share how Levy approaches sustainability year-round. Talking about recycling and circularity on-air gave us the chance to show people just how much goes into reusing materials in a sustainable way.
Most Played: Schools, Students and Community
This year gave us some of our most meaningful moments in our communities. From JA in a Day classroom takeovers to touch-a-truck events and community members of all ages touring our sites, we’re reminded that education is always ongoing. Levy teams also gave back in different ways such as packing backpacks with supplies for students starting school, handing out turkeys, and food drives for local families.
Global Chart-Topper: 30 Years of SSMS
Levy celebrated 30 years of operations in Thailand through Siam Steel Mill Services (SSMS,) our long-standing joint venture. Our international teams continue to expand our impact and uphold the values that define Levy around the world.
Advocacy Anthem: MITA Rally
We joined industry partners at the MITA Rally in Lansing to advocate for strong, reliable infrastructure funding that supports Michigan workers and communities. This reflects our belief that long-term infrastructure investment is essential for economic growth and quality of life.
2025 was filled with achievements – thank you to every team member and who made this year one to remember. Here’s to an even stronger 2026.
